Pre-school & Nursery

Pre – School Places:

At Fishburn Primary, new for 2021, we are pleased to be able to offer Pre-School places for children who are 2 years old. The benefits of children attending school from 2 years old are crucial in setting children up for their primary school education. This is something which is new on site to school and we are incredibly excited to be able to welcome some of our youngest children into our purpose built provision in September 2021. Pre-School provision is NOT formal teaching. It is created through a play based approach to learning and ensures that children meet their full potential right from the start of their education journey. At Fishburn we understand that your children are your world and we want you to feel comfortable sending them in to us. We would therefore, love to show you around our space so that you can meet the staff and see the wonderful provision we have on offer. So please get in touch and we will be happy to take you for a look round.

Currently, our places are limited to a morning space only but there is room for us to grow! Please get in touch with school if you require further information or would like to enquire about afternoon spaces, we will be happy to discuss this with you.

Nursery Places:

We currently offer a variety of options for nursery places in school. We accept children into our nursery as soon as they have turned 3. We have spaces in both our morning nursery which runs from 8:45 – 11:45 and our afternoon nursery which runs from 12:30 – 3:30.

We take children who are eligible for 15 hours per week, at the moment, we ask that parents agree to either a morning slot or an afternoon slot to help with our staffing ratios. However, if you require something more flexible please get in touch with the school office.

In addition to 15 hours entitlement we do also offer a full 30 hours of entitlement for those families who are eligible. Those children stay in nursery with us all day from 8:45 – 3:30 and have lunch on school site. If you think you may be eligible for this provision you can check by clicking here:

We are also happy to accept fee paying parents who perhaps do not qualify for additional nursery hours. We can still cater to your needs, please just get in touch with the office and we will be happy to help.
